When You Arrive

Massey Theatre is located at 735 Eighth Avenue in New Westminster, just east of the 8th Avenue & 8th Street intersection. Watch for a large reader board at the street front and you have arrived at the main entrance.

You will find plenty of free parking at the back of the building if necessary. Ramp access is available at both entrances for those guests with mobility challenges. Unfortunately, the Balcony Level is not yet accessible so book your seats on the orchestra level.

Seeing a Show

To collect tickets, you will find the Box Office open and ready to greet you Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6pm or during the hour prior to ticketed performances.

The Plaskett Gallery is also open during Box Office hours or you may call to schedule a visit or hosted viewing with one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff or volunteers.

There are three Theatre entrances on the orchestra (ground) level. In order to load in a large audience efficiently the two side entrances are opened pre-show, generally ½ an hour prior to curtain. The centre door is opened for exiting during and after the performance.

Main Entrance

You will find the front entrance just east of the 8th Avenue & 8th Street intersection. Watch for large reader board at street side and you have arrived at Massey Theatre.

Washrooms

Protocols

Please respect the wonderful performers and your fellow patrons by turning off cell phones and pagers and by not using any form of recording device during the performance.

Children over the age of two years old are definitely welcome at this theatre. We have a number of booster seats available but when attending a children’s show it’s helpful, if you have one, to bring one along in case we run out.

Seats must be purchased for all audience members including small children (no sitting on laps). For performances not specifically geared to children, we recommend booking seats near a door and on an aisle to ease your exit should your child or young guest struggle to sit through the performance for any reason.

Any audience member who experiences challenges in their seating position is encouraged to approach an usher with the matter. We will make every effort to find you an alternate seat to ensure your experience is a positive one.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have of our staff. We aim to please and will do what we can to make adjustments to improve your experience.

Administration Office

The office is located on the second floor, across from the balcony entrance in Room 202. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:00pm.

If you are coming to visit our Administration office you will find the door to go upstairs near the front entrance. It leads up to the balcony level where the office is located.
