We are excited to announce our 8th Annual AHFOMAD festival taking place at Massey Theatre and Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces this September 1-3rd, welcoming a diverse group of local, national and international talents, artists, vendors including workshops and music masterclasses to immerse our emerging artists into the Canadian music business, and our audiences, in Black Africa Caribbean, Black Peoples’ music and cultures.

African Heritage Music and Dance Society is a Canadian not for profit Arts Presentation organization based in Vancouver BC. Incorporated in 2015 we have been producing and presenting our festival and concerts since 2015, bringing international Artists like Alpha Blondy,
Black Umfolosi, Burna Boy, Davido, Falz, WizKid, Yemi Alade, Wizboy, Ahmed Fofana and many more,plus hundreds of exciting new and emerging local and national Artists to share with our audiences in Vancouver and other cities in Canada. This year we are partnering with F7
Entertainment Group to bring Sauti Sol and a few others to other Canadian cities.

Our mission is to bring the best that Black African and her diaspora has to offer in Live Music and Dance performances for our audiences in our carefully and accurately curated Festival and Concerts series annually. Our vision is a better world for Black Peoples and the Societies they are part of in Canada and beyond through Live Music, Arts and Dance presentations and workshops.     Purchasing tickets from any third party ticketing sellers is outside of Massey Theatre and Tickets NW ‘s liability and may result in the purchasing of a counterfeit ticket, which we don’t want you to do!

    Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable. Exceptions can be made for the following reasons:

    If a performance is cancelled, re-scheduled or postponed you will be able to obtain a refund. If the performance is cancelled you will be automatically refunded.

    If the performance is re-scheduled or postponed, your ticket will be automatically transferred to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, please contact the box office and we will issue you a refund.

    Massey Theatre has in place a detailed communicable disease plan, a new audience guide and new ticketing procedures to ensure events are safe and responsible. This information can be found by clicking here.

    PLEASE NOTE: The Covid 19 pandemic remains a public health risk. The theatre is following all requirements for safe gatherings as per government directives. To increase your safety we encourage you and all guests to consider your personal wellness and risk factors for yourself and loved ones when deciding to attend. Individuals are responsible for limiting their own exposure to other guests. As such, the theatre can't be held legally responsible for risks related to viral transmission. Rest assured theatre staff are taking a proactive and professional role in the adherence to protocols in the facility and we encourage open communication with us if any safety concerns emerge throughout, or after, your attendance at the theatre.     Applicable service charges (based on ticket price) are added to each ticket sold payable by the consumer.

    Please note: All patrons in the theatre must have their own seat. Parents with babes in arms are asked to contact the box office to identify seating arrangements. Seniors rates apply to patrons age 65 and above and any children's rates apply to patrons 12 and below unless otherwise stated.
