She continued following her voice well into her teens by singing in her bedroom to artists that inspired her such as Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilara and Lauryn Hill. By 19 she started playing guitar and by 23 started writing her own songs. Her vision to be a singer led her to come to Vancouver, BC and study Audio Engineering where she met other fellow musicians that kept the creative fire burning by delving into blues, soul and rnb genres. Her biggest inspirations being Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings and Amy Winehouse she has shaped her sound to be a blend of alternative folk, soul and Rnb stylings.
