Volunteer Front of House Staff

Being a volunteer usher allows you to see interesting shows and work in a theatrical enviroment - a fun way to spend about 4 to 5 hours at a time. Volunteer for shifts on evenings, weekends, daytime and mid-week. There is lots of flexibility. The main season is from October to June.

Massey welcomes volunteers from ages 16 to seniors and will train you. Tasks include showing people to their seats, taking tickets, concession sales, set up and clean up, and light security. The volunteers have a Front of House Manager to help them.

The way the volunteer system works is simple. Each month you will receive a schedule of events for the upcoming month. Check off the events or days that you would like to volunteer for and inform the Volunteer Coordinator. Once this is done all that you need to do is to show up on your scheduled dates, fulfill your duties, and enjoy your time with the other volunteers. It's an easy and fun way to get involved with the community and catch a bit of theatre as well!
