Jean Duguay first started doing
abstract drawings at the very young age of five. Over the years,
his paintings have developed into an original form of abstrat art
using pen and ink on board. His favorite medium with which to work
is ink on rag paper.
In the spring of 2007, Jean
started using the computer as a tool. By using the computer, he
was able to reproduce his ink painting onto canvasses. He copied
his own individual drawings, and then manually transferred them
to canvas so that he could re-create them as paintings. One of these
works alone consists of 256 individual paintings and once completed,
will measure 21.33 feet x 26.66 feet.
